A charming late 18th century Paris verge in a fine gold case.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance bridge, large silver regulator disk and four round pillars. Signed ‘Vauchez,A Paris’ All in fine and complete original condition. Running, though a little fast (gaining about 4 minutes per hour).

DIAL : Original signed white enamel dial, in good condition except for a repair around the winding aperture and a light hairline running down the left hand side. Very nice 18th century beetle and poker gold hands.

CASE : A fine solid gold case in very good condition. Rose gold with engraved yellow gold bands with enamel and pearl decoration on the back. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. Good high dome crystal with just one small scratch. There is a little wear to the bow and catch button but generally in very nice condition.

Vauchez is listed in Paris between about 1770 and 1830.
