This is an excellent quality, large English silver pair cased pocket watch, in fine working condition, with a verge escapement fusee movement and calendar dial, made around 1802 by Patrick Flanagan in London.

MOVEMENT : Signed and numbered (2195) gilded movement in fine condition with stop lever on the outside of the case to start and stop the movement. Beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock. It is running and the calendar work is complete and working.

DIAL : The large white enamel dial is about 46 mm in diameter. It is in good condition with just one hairline running from the edge at 7 through the seconds dial, and a scratch from 5 through the seconds dial.
Nice matching gold coloured hour and minute hands, also with gold seconds and calendar hands.

INNER CASE : Full hallmarks for London 1802, maker IA. The hinge is in good condition. High dome bull’s eye crystal in good condition with no damage or wear. The pendant has the usual repaired join to the case. The silver is in good condition with no serious dents, but a few bruises around the winding hole..

OUTER CASE : Matching marks to the inner. The hinge, catch and button are fine and the case closes nicely. Again with no repairs or damage other than some small light bruises and a small dent in the release button.
