Shagreen Pocket Watch Case

Diameter 47.75 mm, inner bezel diameter 37 mm, inner depth to bezel 15 mm.

Gilt brass base, with shagreen covering and gilt rims and pins.

Wonderful unrestored condition. The shagreen is almost perfect, with no cracks or pieces missing and only a couple of very small chips. Excellent colour. Just one pin missing from the back and three fro the bezel.

The hinge, catch button and catch are fine and the case snaps shut nicely.

The case has a purple velvet liner, and a hand embroidered silk liner, both of which appear to be original.
