A London rack lever, in a silver case.

MOVEMENT : Gilded rack lever fusee movement, with diamond endstone and removable gilt brass dust ring. Signed and numbered (3315).

All in good condition, with just a few scratches to the top plate. Running well.

DIAL : White enamel dial. Very fine condition , though it is a replacement.
Brass hands.

CASE : Silver, with worn marks but movement serial number 3315, maker NY?.
Possibly an eagle mark, so it could be an American case.

Good condition throughout. There is a little wear to the engine turned engraving, but otherwise fine. The case snaps shut and the crystal is fine.

There were two brothers and a son, all called Richard Ganthony, and working between about 1794 and 1845. This watch dates from about 1830 and was made by the son who was at Cheapside from about 1821.
