A late 18th century Swiss verge in a gold case with particularly fine enamel.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance bridge, silver regulator disk and four round pillars. Unsigned.

In good condition and running well.

DIAL : A white enamel dial.

In good condition, with just a few surface scratches and some very short hairlines from the edge at 9.

Fine skeleton gold hands.

CASE : A wonderful gold and enamel case, with an enamel panel to the back. There is a serial number (3378) and a worn maker’s mark on the stem but otherwise unmarked.

The stem, bezel and rim of the back are all decorated with blue, green and white enamel. The back shows a romantic scene with three figures. The case tests as high carat gold.

The gold is in good condition with no significant damage or wear.

The enamel panel is also in good condition, with just some slight wear and scratches, but no restoration. There is some restoration to the back rim, at 12 and 3, a some wear to the bezel, with a chip at 7. The crystal is fine.

The hinge is fine and the front cover closes tightly, and is released by pressing the button on the stem.
