A good qualility London, cylinder escapement watch, in silver case. To be restored.

MOVEMENT : Gilt cylinder movement, with engraved balance cock. Blued screws, diamond endstone and Bosley regulator.
Signed (Willm. Wilson, Southhampton Street, STRAND) and serial number (2035).
The movement is in very good condition and complete, except for damage to the brass escape wheel which is missing a tooth. The balance swings, and the movement runs until the balance staff meets the missing tooth when the movement stops.
Complete with removable gilt dustcap.

DIAL : White enamel dial, with subsidiary seconds.
In excellent condition with just a few tiny chips right on the edge.
Gilt hands with blued steel seconds..

CASE : Nice heavy silver case, hallmarked for London, 1829, maker’s mark GS.
Very good condition, with one small dent to the bottom right hand edge of the back. The hinges are fine and the bezel and back cover snap shut. The crystal has a few light scratches but otherwise is fine.
