Wonderful French ‘oignon’ verge, with fine enamel dial, in a beautifully decorated silver case.

MOVEMENT : Fully signed (Guillaume et Isidore Champion A Paris). Beautiful gilt movement in clean and original condition. Engraved and pierced balance bridge, showing scrolls, birds and masks.

Running well.

DIAL : Fine white enamel dial. Very good condition, with just a small repair on the edge at 8. Brass hands.

CASE : Silver, beautifully embossed on the back and bezel with scrolls, masks, cherubs and animals. No maker’s mark.

The silver is in good condition, without much wear to the decoration. The hinges and high dome crystal are fine, and the bezel closes correctly. The stem appears to be original, though the gilt bow is a replacement..
