MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, signed (R. Holborn, Sheffield) and numbered (6608). Movement condition : The balance wheel (and staff) is missing, though the rest of the movement is complete. The movement can be wound fully and the train runs freely
DIAL : White enamel dial, in good condition. Some very small chips and light scratches but no hairlines or repairs. Gilt hands.
INNER CASE : Silver, with London hallmarks for 1791, maker TC. In excellent condition. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut. The high dome bull’s eye crystal has just one small chip, right on the bezel at 9.
OUTER CASE : Silver and shell case. The tortoiseshell on the back is complete with just one crack near the neck. The bezel has a section missing to the right of the neck. The hinge and catch button are fine and the case snaps shut, though the catch button has worn down.
