A Swiss verge, the silver case with a wonderful repousse foil panel, by Cochin.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with typical Swiss balance bridge. Unsigned. Movement condition : The movement is complete, running and in good condition. However it runs very fast, gaining about 30 minutes per hour. Possibly due to the fitting of a balance hairspring of the incorrect strength (too strong).

DIAL : White enamel dial, in very good condition. A small flake at the winding aperture and a short scratch on the edge at 6. Gilt Breguet style hands.

CASE : Silver, with rubbed maker’s mark CL? and serial number (15187). Ribbed band and glass back, protecting the repousse silver foil panel. The panel, showing a biblical scene, is signed “COCHIN.F”. Good condition throughout, including the panel which has been protected by the glass cover. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The high dome crystals (back and front) have some scratches but are otherwise is fine.
