A large, early 19th century verge, in fine overall condition.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock, blued screws and regulator disk. Signed (Wilson, London) and numbered (7688). Four round pillars. In excellent, virtually mint, condition and running well.

DIAL : White enamel dial in excellent condition, with just one tiny chip on the edge at 2. Nice gilt fleur de lys hands.

INNER CASE : Silver hallmarks for Birmingham, 1827, maker’s mark JH. In excellent condition throughout.

The high dome crystal has just a few light scratches. The hinge is fine and the bezel closes well.

OUTER CASE : Silver pair case with matching hallmarks to the inner.

There are a few light bruises to the back and the silver has worn off the catch button, but the hinge and catch are fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly.
