A fine quality watch, with duplex escapement in a heavy gold case, in exceptional condition.
MOVEMENT : Fine quality gilded duplex fusee movement, with blued screws, diamond endstone and removable gilt brass dustcap. Signed (W.ABELING, Wynyatt Street, Northampton Square, LONDON) and numbered (1173). All in fine original condition and running well.
DIAL : White enamel, marked ‘DUPLEX ESCAPEMENT’. Excellent condition with just some tiny flakes on the edges. Nice matching gold hands, with blued steel seconds hand.
CASE : Hallmarks for 18ct gold, London, 1822, maker WR. Nice condition throughout, with just a little wear to the bow. The case snaps shut nicely and the crystal is fine.
The watch, including the movement, weighs 129 gms.
