MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock and plate. Blued screws and diamond endstone. Fully signed (GEO. ALLEN, Red Lion Street, HOLBORN), numbered (439). Good condition, with the gilding still bright, and running well.
DIAL : 45.3 mm. White enamel dial, in excellent condition with just 2 tiny chips right on the edge at 9 and 12 and one at the centre hole. Very nice matching gold hands.
INNER CASE : 48.75 mm, silver, hallmarked for London, 1807, maker’s mark TB. The case snaps shut nicely. The silver is in good condition with just a little wear to the hinge. The bow is a later replacement (low grade silver ?). The high dome crystal is fine.
OUTER CASE : 55.5 mm, silver, matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine and the case closes nicely. A few scratches on the back but in generally nice condition.
