A large Austrian verge watch, with a fine dial and excellent silver and horn pair cases. All in very nice condition.
MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, signed and numbered (598). Running well.
DIAL : 50 mm. White enamel dial, in excellent condition with just some light scratches, mainly around the edge. No repairs. Fine early gold coloured beetle and poker hands.
INNER CASE : 61 mm, silver, with maker’s mark IS. The hinge is fine and the case closes nicely. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage. Excellent condition throughout with just very light bruises and a scratch on the back.
OUTER CASE : 68.5 mm, silver rims and pinwork, gold twisted wire edging and green stained horn back and bezel. Very unusual green colour. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes nicely. There is just one small piece of shell missing from the back, at the catch button. Otherwise the shell is complete with just a small dents and scratches on the back. Just two silver pins missing from the back and two from the bezel.
