Fine English rack lever movement, in excellent rose gold pair cases, all in exceptional condition.
MOVEMENT : High quality gilded rack lever fusee movement, with finely engraved balance cock, 30 tooth escape wheel, blued screws, diamond endstone and removable gilt brass dustcap. All in fine original condition and running well. It is signed ANNESS, Cheapside, London and numbered (1916).
DIAL : The cream enamel dial is about 44.8 mm in diameter. It is in perfect condition except for one tiny scratch just above 6 and a little rubbing to the lower numbers. Nice matching gold hands.
INNER CASE : Diameter 48.25 mm. Hallmarks for 18ct gold, London, 1812, maker WM. The stem is also hallmarked for 18ct gold. Perfect condition except some very light scratches and a little wear to the bow. The case snaps shut nicely.
OUTER CASE : Diameter 53.5 mm. Gold hallmarks matching the inner. The hinge and catch are again fine and the case snaps shut. Again in very fine condition. The case includes an interesting old embroidered silk liner.
The cases, including crystal but not movement, weigh 75.4 gms.
