MOVEMENT : Fully signed and numbered (743). Gilded verge movement with engraved and pierced balance cock. Good original condition and running well.

DIAL : 43.75 mm. White enamel. 2 hairlines running around the extreme edges at 12 and 2/3 and some tiny flakes around the centre hole. The dial is a replacement (early 19th century) and is very slightly too small for the dial plate.

INNER CASE : 50 mm. London hallmarks for 1789, maker EL. The high dome crystal is fine, the catch and hinge are good. The case snaps shut nicely. A nice heavy case with just a couple of tiny dings on the back.

OUTER CASE : 56.5 mm. Matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge and catch are fine and the catch snaps shut nicely. Again a very nice heavy case with just three small dings on the back.
