MOVEMENT : Gilded verge fusee movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock, in excellent condition. Signed and numbered (2743). It is running well.
DIAL : White enamel, 40.5 mm in diameter. In reasonable condition with a hairline between 12 and 4, some surface scratches and a couple of repairs on the edges at 1 and 5.
INNER CASE : Gilt brass, 44 mm in diameter. Maker’s mark I.H?. Good condition with no dents or repairs but wear to the gilding and one sleeve missing from the hinge. . The bezel does however snap shut nicely. High dome crystal with no damage.
OUTER CASE : Gilt brass/shell, 51.3 mm in diameter. No maker’s marks. Hinge and catch fine and the case closes nicely. Some wear to the gilding but the shell in fine condition. Only 4 of the many gilt pins missing and no cracks or chips to the shell.
This shell case is in outstanding original condition with no repairs. It is a wonderful colour and is the best example that we have had.
