This is a silver pair cased verge, made by John Barton, in London around 1807.
MOVEMENT : The gilded verge fusee movement is in good condition and is running well. It is signed and numbered (6375).
DIAL : The white enamel dial is about 46.5 mm in diameter. It is in very good condition with just a few light surface scratches.
INNER CASE : Diameter 50.5 mm. Silver hallmarks for London, 1807. Very good overall condition with no repairs or damage. Perfect high dome crystal. The hinge and catch are fine and the case snaps shut nicely.
OUTER CASE : Diameter 57.5 mm. Matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge and catch are again fine and the case snaps shut, though the button catch has worn down. Again in overall very good condition.
