MOVEMENT : Gilded movement with beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock. The movement is signed, numbered (2554) and is running well.
DIAL : The white enamel dial is about 35.75 mm in diameter. It is in good condition with a few chips around the edge (the worst at 3 and 6 have been repaired) and two very light hairlines from the centre. Some surface scratches.
INNER CASE : Full hallmarks for London 1741, maker MD. The hinge is in good condition and the case closes nicely. Nice high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage. Good overall condition for its age.
OUTER CASE : Matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge is good and the catch and release button ok. Again in good overall condition for its age. No repairs.
