An exceptionally large, early 19th century, verge watch, in silver pair cases.

MOVEMENT : Gilt fusee movement, with verge escapement, engraved and pierced balance cock, four round baluster pillars, and silver regulator disk.

Signed Denton & Fox, HULL and numbered 3716.

Running well and in good condition.

DIAL : A white enamel dial, in reasonable condition, but with some damage on the edge at 12 and at 2.

Good skeletonized gold hands.

INNER CASE : Silver, with hallmarks for London, 1813, maker’s mark IG.

All in very good condition. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly.
The high dome bull’s eye crystal his good.

The bow and stem are original.

OUTER CASE : A silver pair case, with hallmarks and maker’s mark matching the inner.

Again the silver is in good condition. The hinge, catch button and catch are fine and the case snaps shut.
