A charming little gold watch in very nice condition.
MOVEMENT : Signed (Fs. Bordier, Geneva) and numbered (52457). Gilded verge movement with jewel endstone. The movement is in very fine original condition, and is running well.
DIAL : 29.5 mm, signed, white enamel. In excellent condition with no restoration. Blues steel hands. Nice fancy gold hands.
INNER CASE : 34.5 mm. Gold, with maker’s mark E&B? And the movement serial number (52457). Very good condition, with an old repair on the rim near the catch (very well done). The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The very high dome crystal has no cracks or chips though is evenly scratched..
MIDDLE CASE : 37.25 mm. Multicoloured gold with no marks. Pearl set bezel. Excellent condition. There are some very light dents in the back but otherwise fine. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine. The bezel snaps shut nicely.
OUTER CASE : 42.8 mm. Gilt and shell. There are some small pieces of shell missing and about a quarter of the pins. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes nicely. The case has a glass back which may have been to show an embroidered silk protecting the gold back of the middle case.
