Gilt brass half hunter case

Gilt half hunter case.

Gilt brass. Diameter 53.5 mm, inner diameter 43.2 mm, inner depth to dial plate base 11.3 mm.

Maker’s mark WL under a stag.

Good condition throughout. The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut. The bow and stem appear to be original. The small crystal has some light surface scratches but otherwise fine.

The gilding is complete on the inside, but with even wear to the outside.
The case has signs of an old repair at the hinge, though the hinge is strong. Very dirty throughout and in need of a clean.
