18thc.  Exhibition outer case

Dimensions :

Exterior diameter : 46.1 mm.
Interior diameter at front : 37.8 mm.
Interior diameter at base : 36.8 mm.
Total depth : 8.1 mm.

This is a brass case, with a lip to the base to take an exhibition glass.

Much of the gilding has worn off, but the underlying metal case is ok. The hinge is good and the bezel snaps shut.
