18thc.  Exhibition outer case

Dimensions :

Exterior diameter : 53.9 mm.
Interior diameter at openings : 41.2 mm.
Total depth : 8.5 mm.

This is a brass case, with the remains of some blue enamel, with a lip to the base to take an exhibition glass.

Much of the enamel and gilding has worn off, but the underlying metal case is ok. The hinge is good and the bezel snaps shut.
