18thc.  Continental outer case

Dimensions :

Exterior diameter : 57.5 mm.
Interior diameter at opening : 46.6 mm.
Interior diameter at hinge : 51.3 mm.
Interior depth to opening : 17.3 mm.
Interior depth to hinge : 12.1 mm.

This is a brass case, with silver rims and red lacquer to the back and bezel.

The lacquer has badly worn. Eight pique work pins are missing, but the underlying metal case is ok. The hinge is good and the catch and catch button are present. The bezel snaps shut..
