18thc.  Continental outer case

Dimensions :

Exterior diameter : 53.2 mm.
Interior diameter at opening : 43.4 mm.
Interior diameter at hinge : 48.3 mm.
Interior depth to opening : 15.9 mm.
Interior depth to hinge : 11.2 mm.

This is a white metal case, with faux shell to the back and silver bezel.

The lacquer has almost entirely worn away, and six pique work pins are missing, but the underlying metal case is ok. The hinge is good and the catch and catch button are present and work (the catch has an old repair).
