Gilt brass base, with tortoiseshell covering, gilt rims and ornamental pins, and gold plaque set into the back.

Good unrestored condition. The shell is in good condition, with a good colour and just two small chips to the bezel. There are a few small areas of wear, but generally very good.
Just three pins missing.

The hinge is fine but the catch spring and catch button are missing.

The gold plaque is nicely engraved with a monogram EA. It is in good condition and is tested as 18 carat.
