Gilt brass base, with tortoiseshell covering, gilt rims and ornamental pins.
Good unrestored condition. The shell is in good condition, with a nice colour and just a couple of small chips to the back.
There is even wear to the gilt rims and pins. There are about 7 pins missing from the bezel and about 20 from the back.
The hinge, catch and catch button (dented) are complete and the bezel snaps shut.
