Shagreen Pocket Watch Case

Diameter 48.5 mm, inner bezel diameter 36.5 mm, inner depth to bezel 18 mm.

Gilt brass base, with shagreen covering and gilt rims and pins.

Good condition though the shagreen appears to have had a green wax rubbed in, presumably to enhance the colour and fill in any irregularities on the edges. The brass pins seem to be complete, but appear from the inside to be replacements.

The hinge and catch are fine and the case snaps shut nicely. There are small dents in the catch button.
