Antique Verge Repeating Movement – Ferdinand Berthoud, Paris, c1780

A late 18thc. Repeating pocket watch movement by a famous Paris maker.

MOVEMENT : Signed and numbered (3786).

MOVEMENT SIZE (Approx) : 5.5 mm between the plates. Top plate 38.5 mm. Dial plate 41 mm.

MOVEMENT CONDITION : The watch movement is complete and running, though the repeating is not working and seems to be jammed.

The repeating works appears to be complete but please check the photos carefully.

DIAL : 41 mm. White enamel. No repairs but some scratches and damage around the winding aperture and around 12.
