A nice quality, early lever Channel Islands silver watch.
MOVEMENT : Gilt lever movement, with polished steel balance wheel and blued steel screws. Four round baluster pillars.
Signed Frans. Le Feuvre, St. Aubin’s, JERSEY and numbered 11386.
Running well, and in very good condition. The movement in protected by a removable gilt dustcap.
DIAL : White enamel dial, marked ‘Patent’ with subsidiary seconds.
The dial is in excellent condition
Gold hour and minute hands, with blued steel seconds.
CASE : A heavy silver case, with London hallmarks for 1824, and case maker’s mark TK. Heavily engine turned band, but otherwise plain.
In very good condition. The hinges are fine and both the bezel and back cover snap shut correctly.
The crystal is good.
F. C. Feuvre is listed in Jersey during the 18thc. Probably a previous generation.
The case maker is Thomas Keeff of Clerkenwell, London.
