A calendar, silver pair cased verge watch with a subsidiary for seconds.

MOVEMENT : A fine gilded verge fusee movement with engraved and pierced balance cock, showing a mask to the neck and diamond endstone.. Blued screws and start/start lever at 4.

All in good condition and running well. The stop lever operates correctly.

Signed McLachlan & Fraser , London and numbered 2630.

DIAL : The signed white enamel dial has an offset calendar dial towards the top and a subsidiary dial lower down for seconds.

No repairs or chips but there are a few very light hairlines, mostly radiating from the centre. There are also a few nibbles around the edge.

Nice gilt arrow head hands and blued steel for the calendar and seconds.

INNER CASE : Silver with hallmarks for London, 1801 and maker’s mark TC.

In very good condition throughout. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is fine. The hinge and catch are good and the bezel closes properly.

OUTER CASE : Silver with matching hallmarks and maker’s mark to the inner.

Again in good condition throughout. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes correctly. The catch button is dented and worn, though functional

The case maker is Thomas Carpenter of Islington Road, London
