An early 18thc. York silver pair cased watch
MOVEMENT : The gilt fusee movement has a verge escapement, finely engraved and pierced balance cock with mask to the neck, four square pillars, blued steel screws and a Tompion type regulator.

Running well and in good condition.
DIAL : The white enamel dial is also in good condition, with just one hairline on the edge at 6, and a chip on the edge at 12.
This dial is probably slightly later than the movement, ie. mid 18thc.
18thc. black steel beetle and poker hands.
INNER CASE : Silver, with no hallmarks visible.
In good condition, though the pendant has been reattached and reinforced with a brass plate visible only inside the case. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. The high dome bull’s eye crystal has some light scratches but otherwise good.
OUTER CASE : A silver pair case, again with no marks.
In good condition. The hinge and catch are good and the case snaps shut correctly. However the catch button has worn down though is still functiona
