An early 19th century English verge watch, in silver pair cases, all in particularly good condition.

MOVEMENT : Gilt fusee movement, with verge escapement, engraved and pierced balance cock and plate, diamond endstone, four round baluster pillars, and large silver regulator disk.
A lever at the edge of the dial at 4 o’clock allows the movement to be stopped and restarted

Signed “Josh. Robinson” and numbered (220).

Running well, and in good condition throughout.

DIAL : A fine white enamel dial, with subsidiary seconds, in excellent condition with just one tiny flake on the edge at 6.

Very fine matching gold hands, with blued steel seconds.

INNER CASE : Silver, with hallmarks for London, 1810, maker’s mark IR.

All in very good condition. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is also fine and the bow and stem are original..

OUTER CASE : A heavy silver pair case, with hallmarks and maker’s mark matching the inner.

In very good condition. The hinge, catch button and catch are complete and the case snaps shut. Just some scratches on the back near the opening catch.
