A good late 18th century Paris verge in a fine gold repousse case. In good condition throughout.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance bridge, large silver regulator disk and four square baluster pillars.

Signed ‘Du Fertre, A PARIS’.

All in good complete condition and running well.

DIAL : A fine white enamel dial, in perfect condition.

Beautiful ornate gold hands.

CASE : A fine rose gold case, with engraved repousse decoration to the bezel and back.
No gold marks but maker’s mark IDF. The gold tests as high carat.

The hinge and catch are fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The gold is in good condition with just a slight dent to the catch button. The high dome crystal is good, with just one small scratch.

Du Fertre is listed in Paris in the early 19th century. This watch is a little earlier.
