A French gold quarter repeating watch, with cylinder escapement, in a yellow gold case, with a particularly nicely engraved silver dial.

MOVEMENT : A gilt movement with cylinder escapement, and quarter repeating with two polished steel hammers striking two steel gongs.

The quarter repeating function is activated by lifting the button on the stem, turning it 90 degrees, and then pushing down. Striking once for each hour and then twice for each quarter.

The movement is in excellent condition, and is running well and repeating correctly.

DIAL : Very attractive silver guilloche dial with the centre beautifully engraved with flowers and foliage.

In good condition with just a couple of scratches on the chapter ring between 3 and 4

CASE : The gold case has engine turning to the band and back, and engraved rims. The inner gold cuvette is signed ‘Breguet’

The gold back of the case is stamped with the case number and French gold marks (3 chevrons).

The case is in good condition, with just a little wear to the engine turning on the back and a few light marks and small bruises, also on the back

All hinges are fine and the bezel, back cover and cuvette all close correctly. The crystal has a few light scratches but no chips.

This watch is of a nice quality, but not by the celebrated Abraham-Louis Breguet.
