MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, signed (CARL) and numbered (301).

Movement condition :

Complete and running. Occasionally stops so probably needs cleaning.

DIAL : White enamel dial, in poor condition with repairs. No hands.

CASE : Later, white metal, with worn marks to the inside.

Tarnished, but in good overall condition. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is fine.

The marker is probably Dionisius Carl, from Krems in Austria, listed around 1740.
