A fine late 18th century London cylinder watch, with particularly fine movement with unusual piercing and fine engraving.

MOVEMENT : Gilt cylinder movement, with finely and unusually engraved and pierced balance cock and engraved plate. Signed and numbered (4594). Diamond endstone, four round pillars and blued screws. The movement is protected by a removable gilt signed dustcap. All in fine condition and running well.

DIAL : White enamel dial in very good condition, with just small flakes around the centre hole. No repairs or hairlines.

INNER CASE : Gilt brass, in very good condition throughout. With just a little wear to the gilding around the band and on the stem. The hinge is fine and the bezel closes well. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is fine.

OUTER CASE : Gilt pair case. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes correctly. Again in overall very good condition, with just a little wear to the gilding on the back and rim of the bezel.
