A good quality London verge, in nicely engraved 22 ct. gold pair cases.
MOVEMENT : Fine quality verge fusee movement, with blued screws, four square pillars and finely engraved and pierced balance cock. Fully signed and numbered (1028). All in fine original condition and running well.
DIAL : White enamel. Almost perfect condition, with just a couple of tiny scratches. Fancy gold or gilt hands.
INNER CASE : Gold hallmarks (rubbed) for London, 1764, maker RP. Excellent condition throughout. The case snaps shut and the crystal is fine.
OUTER CASE : Gold hallmarks matching the inner, again rubbed but legible. Good condition throughout with very little wear to the engraved decoration. The hinge and catch are fine, though the catch button (brass) is a little dented. Possible signs of an old repair to the inside of the bezel.
The cases, excluding crystal and movement, weigh 38 gms.
