MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Signed and numbered (537). Very good condition and running well.

DIAL : Wonderful enamel and gilt “Keep me clean” dial. This is in fine condition, with just a few very light surface scratches and 2 tiny hairlines from the edge at 7. The gilt rim is engraved with :

KEEP ME CLEAN AND USE ME WELL
AND I TO YOU THE TRUTH WILL TELL.

INNER CASE : Silver, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1827, maker’s mark JH. The case snaps shut nicely and the silver is in very good condition with just some light scratches around the sides and a couple of very small bruises. The high dome crystal is fine.

OUTER CASE : 57.3 mm, silver, matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge and catch are fine and the case shuts correctly. The silver has just one very small dent on the back and some bumps to the edge of the bezel, but in generally very good condition.
