Gilt pair cases
Verge movement

Sold

MOVEMENT : Signed and numbered (32306) gilt brass verge movement, with four round pillars, engraved balance cock and plate, and silver regulator disc. Good original complete condition and running well.

DIAL : 36.6 mm. Excellent white enamel dial, with just a few light surface scratches and some tiny chips right on the edge, but no hairlines or repairs. Fine matching gold skeleton hands.

INNER CASE : 41.5 mm. Gilt brass. Good condition though the gilding is a little worn from the outer surfaces. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is fine. The hinge is also fine and the bezel snaps shut.
The back of the case is nicely engraved with a monogram (JJ) and the year 1790, though the watch is probably a little earlier than this.

OUTER CASE : 49.5 mm. Gilt brass.. Very good condition though most of the gilding has been worn off. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine and the case snaps shut nicely.
