A fine London verge, in gold repousse par cases, with a wonderful early enamel dial.

MOVEMENT : Fine gilt verge movement, with beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock and plate and blued screws. Signed and numbered (2009). All in exceptionally fine original condition and running well.

DIAL : 36 mm. White enamel dial, in fine condition with just one short and light hairline running through the ‘3’ on the edge at 6 o’clock. Good 18thc gold beetle and poker hands.
This is beautiful early enamel dial, which appears to be original to the movement.

INNER CASE : 42 mm. London hallmarks for 22ct gold, 1744. Maker’s mark H? (rubbed) and the movement number 2009. There are a few light bruises on the back but in overall very good condition with no repairs. The pendant and bow appear to be original. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage.

OUTER CASE : 48 mm. A wonderful repousse case. 22ct gold with no hallmarks. The catch button is worn but otherwise in good condition throughout with a little wear to the high points resulting in some pin holes .

The total weight of the gold cases (without crystal) is just over 43 gms.
