This is a substantial English, silver and shell, triple cased pocket watch, with Turkish dial and verge escapement fusee movement. In unusually good condition.

MOVEMENT : Nicely gilded movement with very ornate pillars, and engraved and pierced balance cock. The movement is signed and numbered (1470). It is in good original condition and is running well.

DIAL : 43.5 mm. The signed white enamel dial is in excellent condition with just a few very light surface scratches and a small chip on the edge at 1. Blued steel beetle and poker hands.

SILVER INNER CASE : 49.75 mm. Silver, hallmarked for London, 1815, maker IR. In excellent condition throughout. The very high dome crystal is perfect. The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut nicely.

SILVER SECOND CASE : Diameter 61.5 mm. with matching hallmarks to the inner. The silver is again in very good condition with just one scratch on the back and a dent to the catch button. The case snaps shut nicely.

SILVER/SHELL THIRD CASE : Diameter 73.5 mm. No silver hallmarks. The construction is of a brass base with silver rims. In good original condition (no repairs) with a nice colour to the shell. There are some silver pins missing (about 25%). There is one small section of shell missing from the bezel (7mm) and two very small chips on the edge of the back. The hinge and catch are fine (though the catch button is worn down) and the case snaps shut correctly.
