MOVEMENT : This early verge movement is signed ‘Jan Berninck, Amsterdam’ and numbered (111). Beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock, regulator plate and large square pillars. It is in good condition and is running well. The steel coqueret (a keyhole shaped plate) works as a balance endstone and is attached by a screw to the balance cock. The watch and calendar function are fully working.

DIAL : Wonderful silver champleve dial, signed, with calendar aperture and in excellent condition. 41 mm in diameter. Gold coloured fancy hands.

INNER CASE : Silver. Diameter 48.5 mm. No hallmarks but worn maker’s mark. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The silver is in good condition and the stem appears to be original. Some light scratches but no dents, generally in good condition. The high dome bull’s eye crystal has surface scratches but no chips or cracks.

OUTER CASE : Silver. Diameter 55.75 mm. No hallmarks. Some wear to the bezel with a short split around the rim. A few small dents but in overall good condition. The hinge, catch and button are fine and the case snaps shut nicely.
