This is a gold cased watch, with a good quality cylinder movement, made around 1800 by Shepherd and Sheppard of Frith Steet, London.
MOVEMENT : The gilded cylinder fusee movement , with diamond endstone, is running well. It is signed and numbered (2499).
DIAL : The engine turned gold dial is about 37.5 mm in diameter. It is in good condition with just a few light scratches on the chapter ring at 7 and 12. It tests as 18ct gold.
CASE : Diameter 44.5 mm. No hallmarks, the only mark being crossed keys on the inside of the back, but this case does test as 18ct gold. It is in very nice condition with no damage or repairs. The high dome crystal is fine. This case weighs 26.5 grams without the movement.
