Richard Ganthony
London, 1812
Silver hunter case
Verge movement

Sold

MOVEMENT : Nice quality verge movement, with unusual balance cock and diamond endstone. It is fully signed (RD. GANTHONY Lombard St. LONDON), numbered (1062) and is running well. The movement is in very nice condition but is missing the brass dust cap.

DIAL : The white enamel dial is about 43 mm in diameter. It has a few light scratches and two chips on the edge at 5 and 6 o’clock.

CASE : The case is hallmarked for London, maker WL, but the year mark is rubbed (possibly 1812). The hunter case is in reasonable condition with a few light bruises and scratches. The hinges are ok and the covers close. The outer cover opens nicely as the button on the pendant is depressed. The inner glazed cover snaps shut but is tight. The crystal is fine.
