MOVEMENT : Very clean, gilded movement, signed and numbered (2981). It is running well, to within a minute per hour. The movement is protected by a removable dustcap.
DIAL : The cream coloured enamel dial, with subsidiary seconds dial, is about 46 mm in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Brass hands.
INNER CASE : Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1836, maker’s mark JH. The case is in good condition though the case doesn’t snap shut so needs some attention. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is perfect. The bow and pendant are fine without the usual repaired join to the case. The silver is in excellent condition with just a few small bruises on the back.
