Gilt brass pair cases, verge movement.

John Ellicott was one of the most eminent English makers and was Clockmaker to the King. The serial number and signature style on this watch date it to around 1755.

Dial : 35.5mm, outer case 48.5mm.

Condition : Case - loss of gilding to outer. Dial - hairlines around 11 o'clock, and repair at 11 o'clock - but dial is original.
