A large silver pair cased watch, with a verge movement and “name” dial, made by J. (probably Joseph) Collingwood.

MOVEMENT : Gilded verge fusee movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Signed and numbered (383). It is running well.

DIAL : White enamel, with the name “WILLIAM CANNON’ in place of numbers. It is in good condition except for one hairline from 5 o’clock and a small chip on the edge at 6. No repairs.

INNER CASE : Silver, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1809. Maker’s mark EM. Good condition and no repairs. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes properly.

OUTER CASE : Silver, with matching hallmarks to the inner. Hinge and catch fine and the case closes nicely. The catch button has worn down and has been filled with a small white crystal.
