Good early Austrian verge, in fine condition.

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with a large and well engraved and pierced winged balance cock, showing a mask on the neck. Signed ‘Jacob Mayer, Wien’. Four Egyptian pillars and large gilt regulator disk. Blued screws and fine steel work,

In excellent condition and running well.

DIAL : Fine silver champleve dial, with signed central disk (MAYER, WIEN). In excellent condition with nicely engraved gilt rim. Original 18th century steel hands.

INNER CASE : Silver, with rubbed makers mark. In good condition, with just some slight compression. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. The high dome crystal is also fine. The unusually shaped bow is steel and appears to be original.

OUTER CASE : Silver, with green silk lining to the base and bezel. The silver is in good condition with just a couple of small dents. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine and the case closes correctly.
