A late 18th century Swiss gold verge, with a signed enamel dial and wonderful multicoloured gold case.
MOVEMENT : Gilded verge movement. Signed (Ls. Duchene & Compe.) and numbered (39055). Excellent condition, and running well.
DIAL : A fine signed dial, in perfect condition except for one flake at the winding aperture. No repairs. Gilt brass hands.
CASE : Multicoloured gold case, rope twist and floral casting to band and bezels, engine turned back with central plaque showing a hen and rooster standing on a wheelbarrow. The stem is stamped with the serial no. 39055.
The case is in fine condition, The hinges are good and the bezel snaps shut correctly. The high dome crystal is fine.
